MacCallGrind

This is the download page for MacCallGrind, a Mac OS X tool for analysing xdebug PHP profiler data in the Callgrind Format.

MacCallGrind 1.0b3

Download MacCallGrind_1.0b3.app.zip and drag the application into your Applications or development tools folder.

Universal binary, but only tested on Intel Core 2 Duo.
Requires Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard).
Tested on xdebug 2.0.2 profiler data.

Changes:

Summary tab with lots of extra stats.
Automatic update with Sparkle.

Universal binary, but only tested on PPC G5.
Requires Mac OS X 10.2 minimum, but only tested on 10.4.11.
Tested on xdebug 2.0.2 profiler data.

Changes:

Sorting now works.
You can click back and forth between views to drill up and down.
A whole bunch of little usability improvements.
Added display "-" instead of 0.0 preference.

Known problems from 1.0b1 still pending.

MacCallGrind 1.0b1

Download MacCallGrind1.0b1.zip and drag the application into your Applications or development tools folder.

Known problems:

Sorting in the function table view doesn't work.
No file type checking, so it will open anything, and probably crash unless it's in the right format.
The progress indicator actually reaches 100% but looks like it doesn't.
Doesn't support Callgrind Format outside of what xdebug generates.
More drill down and analysis planned for future versions.

It's only a few days' work, so take it for what it is at this point.

I was originally going to call it MCacheGrind, after KCacheGrind, but figured it's only a small subset of what it can do. So then I thought MacCacheGrind, after WinCacheGrind, but then I thought people might think I just ported WinCacheGrind to the Mac. And then I figured, well it only does Callgrind data, so MacCallGrind would be best, with the upper G indicating Call and Grind as opposed to Callgrind the format. And then... I thought why am I wasting time writing all this out when people don't give a crap. To which I simply replied: Googlebot. Welcome!
